Johan Hoogewijs

Johan Hoogewijs is a Belgian composer and pianist with a diverse oeuvre spanning film, television, radio, and contemporary dance. An autodidact in composition, he blends pop, jazz, electronic, classical, and orchestral styles. Hoogewijs has created hundreds of jingles, scores for documentaries, dramas, and dance, including works for choreographers Bud Blumenthal and Michèle Noiret. His recent solo piano album, Colouring the Keys, explores meditative, free-form performance beyond the narrative constraints of screen music.
