Jeroen D'hoe

Jeroen D’hoe (b. 1968) is a Flemish composer and educator whose work bridges classical tradition, jazz, and contemporary influences. He studied musicology at KU Leuven and composition at the Lemmens Institute before earning his master’s and doctorate in composition at the Juilliard School, studying with John Corigliano. His output includes orchestral works, chamber music, and large-scale vocal compositions, such as the Violin Concerto (2000), the cross-genre piece Crosstalk (2005), and the oratorio Wij zijn wij (2006). D’hoe has received numerous awards, including the Juilliard Composers Competition (2001), the Queen Elisabeth Competition National Composition Prize (2003), and the SABAM Prize. He teaches composition, music history, and analysis at the Lemmens Institute and Utrecht Conservatory, and continues to play a leading role in Flemish musical life.
