Dmitry Borodaev

Dmitry Borodaev (Moscow) is a Russian guitarist and composer. He studied classical guitar with Natalia Ivanova-Kramskaya and composition with Vladislav Agafonnikov at the Moscow State Conservatory, graduating with honours in 2014 and completing postgraduate studies in 2016. Borodaev has performed widely across Russia, Europe, and Asia, and has won international guitar competitions in Bulgaria, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine. As a composer, he has been recognized with the Moscow composers’ competition Andalusian Wind, the Moscow Government Prize, and the Grand Prix of the Tchaikovsky Heritage festival. He is president of the Moscow International Association of Guitar Art, a member of the Moscow Union of Composers, a professor at the Moscow State Conservatory, and founder and artistic director of the international festival The Time of the Guitar.
