Alain Crepin
(°1954)

Alain Crepin (b.1954) is a Belgian composer, conductor, and saxophonist. Trained at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in saxophone, instrumentation, and conducting, he combined a career as solo saxophonist with the Royal Gendarmerie and Royal Guides Bands with leadership positions, notably as conductor of the Royal Air Force Band. His catalogue includes numerous works for wind and brass ensemble, performed widely in Belgium and abroad. A founding member of the Dinant Saxophone Quartet, he has also been active as a teacher and adjudicator, and since 1981 has been professor of saxophone at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
