A conversation between the piano compositions of Lili Boulanger and her teacher Gabriel Fauré. Lili Boulanger’s lesser-known dreamy Préludes (never published) and Marche gaie (recently discovered), along with her popular 3 Morceaux and her more serious Theme and Variations, are mirrored by Fauré’s masterpiece Theme and Variations, as well as his lesser-known, melodic, and enchanting Pièces brèves.
