Stephane Vande Ginste (b. 1971, Kisangani, Congo) is a Belgian composer and pianist whose work bridges performance, education, and composition. A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he studied with André Laporte, he has won numerous prizes including the Muizelhuis Prize, DMP Prize, and multiple Cantabile Prizes. Since 2000 he has been composer-in-residence with the Emanon Ensemble, while also performing as a soloist and chamber musician with a focus on contemporary repertoire. His oeuvre includes concert works, chamber music, educational pieces, and commissions for ensembles such as Arco Baleno, with a style that seeks to engage young musicians while remaining firmly rooted in a contemporary language.
