Erik Desimpelaere

Erik Desimpelaere is a Belgian composer, conductor and pianist who searches for an  own 21st-century musical language by combining the counterpoint of two horizontal musical lines with their vertical harmonic result, together with the use of 20th-century techniques and crossovers between different genres. His compositions range from symphonic orchestra and music theatre to wind band, chamber music and solo repertoire.
