Bart Vandewege

Bart Vandewege is a Belgian composer, conductor, and singer based in Madrid. Trained in harmony, counterpoint, composition, flute, piano, and voice at the conservatories of Ghent, Leuven, and Brussels, he combines a broad academic foundation with experience across early music, contemporary repertoire, jazz, and traditional idioms. He later pursued orchestral conducting with Salvador Mas and Arturo Tamayo, deepening his engagement with both Romantic and modern works. His compositions include music for theatre, film, and dance, often informed by his background in visual arts and creative writing.
