Anna Clyne (b. 1980) is an English composer known for her expressive orchestral, chamber, and electroacoustic works. Her music often blends acoustic and electronic elements, and she frequently draws inspiration from literature, visual art, and cross-genre collaborations. Clyne’s compositions include concertos, orchestral overtures, and chamber pieces, performed by leading ensembles such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philharmonia Orchestra, and BBC Philharmonic. She has worked with prominent soloists including Yo-Yo Ma, Pekka Kuusisto, and Martin Fröst, and her works have been featured at Carnegie Hall, the Barbican, and the Sydney Opera House. Grammy-nominated for her double violin concerto Prince of Clouds, Clyne continues to explore innovative intersections of sound, technology, and narrative.
